2001-03: Luke Records and TVT Records

In 2001, Pitbull signed a contract with Luther Campbell's record label, Luke Records, with the help of Jullian Booth, then the label's vice president of A&R. In 2001, Pitbull met Robert Fernandez of Famous Artist Music & Management, an independent label and management company specializing in promoting artists through the Diaz Brothers, a production duo working for and after a deal with Luke Records, began promoting Pitbull. Together they focused on creating tunes in radio format. Fernandez later told HitQuarters, "At the time, his music had a lot of verses and it took a long time to get to the hook, so we started writing catchier songs with less rap."

Fernandez introduced Pitbull to Lil Jon with the goal of getting some exposure for the rapper on Lil Jon's upcoming album, Kings of Crunk.
According to Fernandez, John liked Perez so much that he offered him his track for the album "Pitbull's Cuban Ride Out" and a collaboration that made the young rapper famous. 2004-05:

    Product advertising

Pitbull and Claudia Leitte performed the song "We Are One" at the opening ceremony of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

2In 2010, Pitbull took part in the Kodak brand's "So Kodak" campaign[40][41] with Drake, Rihanna and Trey Songz. He also began collaborating with the soft drink company Dr Pepper[42] as , for which he recorded a song which he included on his album Armando

[43]. Pitbull also announced that he had become a spokesperson [44], in which he has a stake, [45] and Budweiser chose Pitbull to advertise their Bud Light beer line. In the ad, Pitbull dances and twirls around the stage while holding a bottle of Bud Light. Pitbull also took an equity stake in the Miami Subs Pizza and Grill restaurant chain[46][47].

In 2012, Pitbull was featured in a Walmart advertising campaign in which the Walmart store had to receive the most "likes" from June 18 to July 15, 2012, and the promotion required Pitbull to perform in that store. Boston Phoenix reporter David Thorpe[48] and SomethingAwful.com writer John Hendren started an organized campaign called "#exilepitbull" in which they convinced people to vote for the small town of Kodiak[49]. In an email to The Associated Press, Walmart confirmed that Kodiak won.[50] Pitbull came to Kodiak on July 30, where he received the key to the city from Mayor Patricia Branson before performing to a crowd of hundreds on the Coast Guard stage. The main organizer of the company, to whom Pitbull made a special invitation, was present at the event[51][52].

In November 2013, he launched the fragrance with Jacavi Worldwide and Parlux Ltd[53].

    Music

Perez took his first steps in the musical field back in 2000. However, the real start for the musician was 2002 - by that time Armando already had a signed contract with the recording studio Luke Records, where he was assigned by the vice president of the label Jullian Booth, and Robert Fernandez from Famous Artists Musics & Management took over the promotion of Pitbull.

Fernandez discerned a creative impulse and a passionate desire to be heard in the twenty-year-old guy. However, Robert also saw Perez’s weaknesses:

“Pitbull wrote verses that were too long. To make them more memorable and suitable for musical standards, we had to cut them down.”

In 2002, Fernandez brought the aspiring rapper together with John Mortimer Smith, better known as Lil Jon. Smith was well known to the audience, and was also working on a new album - what better way to promote a new artist than to collaborate with an already established one? This is how the feature of performers Lil Jon and Pitbull appeared in the album Kings of Crunk.

The joint work produced the expected results. The very next year, Pitbull was offered money to use his composition in John Singleton's film 2 Fast 2 Furious. Later, the producers of the Fast and the Furious franchise again approached the musician for songs to use as soundtracks for films.

In 2004, the artist's first studio album, called MIAMI, was released. Pitbull's debut took 14th place on the Billbord 200 chart and 11th on the Hot Rap Track. Guest performers included Lil Jon, Oobie, Cubo, Fat Joe, Sean Paul and Trick Daddy. The success of the compositions Culo and Dammit Man allowed Armando to join the rappers' concert tour and the Anger Management Tour.

In November of the following year, a remix album was released, on which, in addition to the guests of the first album, Ivy Queen and Daddy Yankee appeared.

Pitbull also remembers 2005 for two other events - a lawsuit over the rights to release an album between the artist's former label and his current label, as well as the launch of the Bad Boy Latino label, which was founded by Perez together with Sean Combs, better known as Puff Daddy - director of Bad Boy Entertainment.

In 2006, Pitbull took part in the voice acting of the game “Scarface: The World Is Yours.” Also this year, active collaborations began with southern performers such as Jean Wyclef, Olga Tañon, Dj Khaled and the Terror Squad group.

The fun and positivity of the work was interrupted by the death of Armando’s father, which also happened in 2006. Pitbull dedicated his second studio album El Mariel to his deceased parent. The next album was released on November 27, 2007 - it included solo tracks by Pitbull, as well as collaborations with Twista, Lloyd, Don Omar and Jason Derulo.

The fourth album of the musician Pitbull starring in Rebel was released on August 28, 2009. In addition to duets with old acquaintances, Pitbull recorded joint compositions with Akon, Dr. Luke, Nayer and Avery Storm. The main hit of the album was the song I know you want me. Reggae group Rebel filed a lawsuit against the musician, claiming that he used their name to promote his album, but the lawsuit was dismissed.

On November 19, 2009, the city of Miami awarded the musician the key to the city. The following year was marked by a charity performance in Haiti and the release of his first Spanish-language album, for which Pitbull received 7 Billbord Latin Music Awards nominations. On May 3, 2011, the seventh studio album was released. Perez was among the invited guests. The collaboration between JLo and Pitbull On the floor became an instant hit.

A month later, Armando himself released an album, calling it Planet Pit. The hits of this album were the songs Rain over me, Hey baby, Give me everything. Pitbull's next album was released on November 19, 2012 and was called Global Warming. The most popular Global Warming compositions were collaborations with and – Get in started and Feel this moment, respectively. The album also includes the song Back in Time, which became the soundtrack of the film Men in Black 3.

2013 will be remembered by fans of the musician for Pitbull’s conflict with Lil Wayne and Perez’s participation in the voice acting of Chris Wedge’s cartoon “Epic.” Also that year, Pitbull embarked on the North American Tour with singer Kesha Rose Sebert, appeared as a judge on the American music television show The Voice, and released an EP called Meltdown.

In 2014, at the opening of the FIFA World Cup, he performed the song “We are one” with Claudia Leitte and Jennifer Lopez. In July of the same year, he received a personal star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and in November he released the album Globalization, the main hit of which was the track Fun, recorded together with a musician named (Chris Brown).

In 2015, Pitbull released his second Spanish-language album, Dale (for which Perez received a Grammy Award), and also appeared on television, starring in the Danny Strong and Lee Daniels series Empire.
